The main rail’s 10-series T-slot mounts readily accept accessory mounting hardware to mount additional gear such as a shovel, axe, or recovery jack as well as aftermarket crossbars from popular companies — including Thule or Yakima. This allows for the widest range of mounting options on the market for carrying toys such as cycling, watersports, and snow sports equipment. Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier
Using the factory tailgate hinge mounting points spreads the load of the spare tire over a larger area for maximum strength and durability. Internal gussets and bracing in the stock JK body support the Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier and oversized tire, which eliminates all stress from the tailgate.
The Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier also provides additional mounting points for off-road accessories such as a recovery jack and fluid containers. The adjustable Tire Carrier is constructed from strong and lightweight 6061-T6 extruded aluminum.

Although the Alpha HD Adjustable Spare Tire Mount can be used alone, it has been designed to be installed in conjunction with the Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier. The Tire Mount can support the additional weight of a full-size spare tire by securely mounting the tire to the Tire Carrier and tailgate Complete adjustability includes vertical as well as fore and aft adjustments.
