High Steer Systems (4–6” Lift)
The TeraFlex TJ: Pro LCG Dana 30/44 High Steer System addresses many front-end steering issues associated with lifted TJ Wrangler/Unlimited models. This system beefs up the steering components of the Dana 30 or Rubicon Dana 44 front axle, helps maximize ground clearance, and corrects steering geometry for superior highway drivability.
Highly recommended for TJ Wrangler/Unlimited models with 4” or more lift. NOT an all-inclusive kit — may require additional modifications. Also fits ZJ Grand Cherokee, XJ Cherokee, and MJ Comanche with Dana 30 front axles — REQUIRES additional modifications.
The High Steer HD Aluminum Tie Rod and High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link convert the TJ’s stock steering to a cross steering or a flipped steering setup. “Flipping” the HD Drag Link
over the Knuckle helps eliminate front-end shimmy, bump steer, and other alignment issues. The High Steer Sway Bar Mounts raise the Front Sway Bar up for more clearance for new High Steer components, while the Steering Stabilizer Mount adapts a 9550 VSS Steering Stabilizer to the hexagonal 6061-T6 aluminum tubing used in our HD Drag Link and HD Tie Rod.
Our complete Pro LCG Dana 30/44 High Steer System combines our Dana 30/44 High Steer Knuckle with our High Steer HD Aluminum Tie Rod Kit, High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link Kit, High Steer Sway Bar Mount Kit, 9550 VSS Steering Stabilizer Mount Kit, and Front Sway Bar Quick Disconnect Kit. Most replacement components are available separately.
Compatible with all factory and aftermarket axle shafts, ball joints, and wheel hubs. Does not affect the operation of ABS.

TJ: Dana 30/44 High Steer Knuckle w/ 3 Tapered Inserts:
- Cast from HD ductile iron
- Reinforces key section areas prone to stress and deflection
- Maintains correct steering geometry angles for superior highway drivability
- Provides HD solution for several weak vulnerabilities found in the stock axle steering configuration
- Increases Tie Rod ground clearance by more than 1-1/8” to reduce Tie Rod damage and bending
TJ: High Steer HD Aluminum Tie Rod Kit – Offset Taper Ends:
- Constructed from 5” hexagonal 6061-T6 aluminum — higher specific strength than 1018 steel
- Yield strength of 45,000 lbs., yet 1/3 the weight of steel
- Aluminum construction deflects 3x further than steel allowing for a return to its original shape
- Hexagon shape allows tightening of jam nuts w/ 5” wrench
- Offset Tie Rod Ends increase differential cover clearance at full turn
TJ: High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link Kit – Stock Taper Ends:
- Bolts directly to new High Steer Knuckle
- Can be used to convert to cross steering or over the Knuckle for flipped steering
- Helps eliminate front-end shimmy and other alignment issues
- Extruded Drag Link eliminates excess flex during binding and high load steering maneuvers
- Constructed from 5” hexagonal 6061-T6 aluminum — higher specific strength than 1018 steel
- Yield strength of 45,000 lbs., yet 1/3 the weight of steel
- Aluminum construction deflects 3x further than steel allowing for a return to its original shape
- Hexagon shape allows tightening of jam nuts w/ 5” wrench
- Tie Rod Ends feature 4140 Chromoly ball/stud and 1045 carbon steel housing
TJ: High Steer Sway Bar Mount Kit:
- Raises and relocates Sway Bar Mounts to give clearance for custom high steer components
- Mounts are laser cut and formed from 3/8” steel for durability and strength
- Includes left-side and right-side mounts
TJ: 9550 VSS Steering Stabilizer Mount Kit:
- Works w/ 5” hexagonal 6061-T6 aluminum Tie Rod used in our High Steer Systems
- Combine w/ 9550 VSS Steering Stabilizer (# 1513001) to complete your steering system
TJ: Front Sway Bar Quick Disconnect Kit:
- Sway Bar Links quickly disconnect and swing up out of the way for unrestricted axle articulation during off-roading
- Links provide immediate reaction during sway bar loading to eliminate excess play while connected for street use
- Improved lateral control and steering response compared to the stock rubber Sway Bar Link Bushings
- Upper End has a greaseable OEM quality polyurethane shoulder ball and socket for silent operation and long-term durability
- Lower Link End features a large polyurethane ball that slides over a stainless-steel pin for easy sway bar link removal
