Sometimes we just have the need to get out. It doesn't need to be a man and machine against the world... We are looking for something that will drop the jaw of any seeker of the awesome. Today, we found it: welcome to Ouray, Colorado.

The small mining town of Ouray, CO, sprang up at the bottom of a valley near the mines. The town is the gateway to some incredible scenery including the view from the nearly 13,000-foot summit of Black Bear Pass. Although the trail doesn’t require a massive lift and tires, steep downhill switchbacks and tall cliffs require focus and attention to detail on some of the more technical sections.

Follow along with Dennis Wood as he travels from 4,000 to 14,000 feet elevation exploring the old mines, settlements, and the surrounding areas with endless breath-taking views.
