Feast your eyes!
Dennis finally gives us a tour of his custom-built 2002 LJ Wrangler Unlimited.
Dennis’s 2006 LJ Wrangler Unlimited has a 430-hp 6.2-liter LS3 V8 swap from Bruiser Conversions in Clearwater, Florida. A dyno tune at Salt Lake-based Premier Performance pulled another 50 hp out of the engine. The engine is backed by a GM 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission with a Camaro TAPShift shifter. An Atlas transfer case with 3:1 low-range gear routes power to a Tera60 Front Axle with a Detroit Locker and Tera CRD60 Rear Axle with an ARB Air Locker. Both axles feature 5.38:1 gears and our Big Brake Kits.
Up front, the LJ features a Warn Zeon S10 Winch mounted to a steel Nemesis Front Bumper. Nemesis also supplied the remainder of the aluminum body armor including rock rails, inner fender liners, and rear fender flares.
The steering setup consists of a TeraFlex JL | JT | JK-style HD Tie Rod with a PSC Steering Ram and Steering Box. The suspension setup consists of a modified TeraFlex Pro LCG Long Arm Suspension System with Alpine IR Long Arms with our Independent Rotation Bushings. The suspension features prototype coilover brackets with Fox bypass shocks. A GenRight aluminum fuel cell allows the rear axle to sit further back giving the LJ a 114” wheelbase.
Dennis’s LJ rolls on 42’ tires mounted on blue powder-coated 20” Raceline Disruptor Wheels.
Inside, there are four PRP seats, an Edge CTS3 engine monitor, a Camaro TAPShift shifter, and an Atlas shifter. The Bestop Trex Top fits around the GenRIght roll cage.
