 Which TeraFlex lift kit is best for my Jeep? Why do you offer so many lift kits? 

 

 

We get these types of questions all the time here at TeraFlex. And the simple answer is:

Well, it depends.

  

It depends on what you want out of your JK Jeep Wrangler or JKU Wrangler Unlimited. 

 

Do you use your Jeep as a commuter or family car? Is it a hardcore weekend warrior? Or is it a dual-purpose rig used for daily driving as well as escaping city life and paved streets? The tire diameter you want to run also dictates what size lift you will need. Cost is also a factor. 

 

All these questions must be taken into consideration when choosing a lift kit. 

 

Bigger isn’t always better. But sometimes bigger is better. And that’s why we offer a variety of suspension systems from mild to wild – and several in between – so our customers can find the configuration for their rig that’s best suited to their needs. 

 















LEVELING KITS | LIFT KITS


TeraFlex builds modest 1.25” body spacer lift kits as well as 1.5” suspension leveling kits and 2.5” suspension lift kits for those wanting to run larger tires on their daily drivers that also see moderate trail use. 

 

Although many of our leveling kits and lift kits are available with or without TeraFlex 9550 VSS (Vehicle Specific Shocks) Twin-Tube shock absorbers, Falcon Series 3 Piggyback and Series 2 Monotube shock absorbers (3.4 Remote Air Adjust, 3.3 Fast Adjust, 3.2 Adjustable, fixed-rate 3.1, fixed-rate 2.1 Sport, fixed-rate 2.1) are available separately. Don't forget to check out the Falcon Nexus EF (Equal Force) steering stabilizers (2.2 Fast Adjust, fixed-rate 2.1) for stock or lifted JK Wrangler/JKU Wrangler Unlimited models.

 

1.25” BODY LIFT KIT – 33” TIRES

 

For maximum affordability, our JK Wrangler/JKU Wrangler Unlimited 1.25” Body Lift Kit provides enough clearance to run a 33” tire with minimal impact on your vehicle’s center of gravity. 


Additionally, the TeraFlex 1.25” Body Lift Kit can be combined with a suspension lift kit for even more altitude. The body mounts are made from premium UHMW polyethylene for longevity and corrosion resistance. Includes all-new hardware.


Although the body lift kit does not require longer shocks, we offer Falcon Series 3 Piggyback shock absorbers for 0-2” lift heights.

1.5” LEVELING KITS – 33” TIRES


TeraFlex offers two choices to cure the factory nose-down rake of your JK Wrangler/JKU Wrangler Unlimited: the 1.5” Performance Spacer Leveling Kit and the 1.5” Coil Spring Leveling Kit. Although we call these Leveling Kits, both kits will raise the front 2” and the rear 1” as well as clear up to 33” tires. 


Leveling Kits are ideal for mild trails due to increased ground clearance and the ability to fit larger diameter tires, which improves approach, breakover, and departure angles. Though rocker and skid plates can help protect the body and drivetrain, these kits may not be high enough to avoid dragging or even getting hung up on tall objects. 

 

Although these kits do not require longer shocks, we offer Falcon Series 3 Piggyback and Series 2 Monotube shock absorbers for 0-2" and 1.5-2” lift heights, respectively. 


1.5” PERFORMANCE SPACER LEVELING KIT


For roughly the same cost as our 1.25" Body Lift Kit, we offer a basic 1.5” Performance Spacer Leveling Kit for the two-door JK and four-door JKU. 


This kit includes 2” front and 1” rear spring spacer, longer front sway bar links, and all necessary hardware.

1.5” COIL SPRING LEVELING KIT


Though they achieve the same lift as our 1.5” Performance Spacer Leveling Kit, our 1.5” Coil Spring Leveling Kits provide even more benefits. 


Despite their added price over spacer leveling kits, longer coil springs increase suspension travel while adding more spring rate, which prevents sagging when adding heavy aftermarket equipment such as bumpers, winches, and cargo racks. 


These kits work with the stock length shocks and include 2” lift front coil springs and 1” lift rear coil springs, longer front sway bar links, and all necessary hardware.

Do you want to fit 35” tires on your rig? Then check out either our 2.5” Performance Spacer Lift Kit or our 2.5” Coil Spring Lift Kit. These kits will allow you to tackle mild to moderate trails with less worry about dragging or getting hung up on tall objects. 


Our 2.5” Lift Kits are available w/ 9550 VSS Shock Absorbers or w/ Front & Rear Shock Extensions instead of Shock Absorbers or w/out Shock Absorbers and Shock Extensions. Falcon Series 3 Piggyback and Series 2 Monotube shock absorbers for 2.5-3.5" lift heights are available separately.

2.5” COIL SPRING LIFT KIT


Our 2.5” Coil Spring Lift Kits were designed to perform on the highway and off-road. TeraFlex engineers were able to add clearance while maintaining the stock suspension geometry, roll center, and load tuning ensuring that all factory nannies remain operational. Coil spring lift kits also include a slightly higher lift in the front to level out the factory rake.


Although coil spring lift kits cost more than spacer lift kits, the longer coil springs increase suspension travel and add more spring rate, which prevents sagging when adding heavy aftermarket equipment such as bumpers, winches or cargo racks. 


This kit includes 2.5” lift coil springs, rear sway bar links, heavy duty rear track bar axle bracket, bump stop extensions, and all necessary hardware.

SUSPENSION SYSTEMS

 

Complete TeraFlex suspension systems include all the necessary components required to lift your JK Wrangler or JKU Wrangler Unlimited for better off-road capability without compromising the factory geometry or on-road ride comfort. We offer Sport S/T (S/T1, S/T2, S/T3), Alpine CT (CT3, CT4, CT6), Outback Overland, and Prerunner Elite suspension systems from a 1.5" leveling kit up to a 6" lift for all your Jeeping needs! 

 

TeraFlex suspension systems provide reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) compared to other kits.  

 

TeraFlex Sport S/T and Alpine CT suspension systems are offered with a choice of Falcon Series 3 Piggyback and Series 2 Monotube shock absorbers (3.3 Fast Adjust, 3.2 Adjustable, fixed-rate 3.1, fixed-rate 2.1). These kits are also available without shocks. All-new Falcon Series 3.4 Remote Air Adjust Piggyback and fixed-rate Series 2.1 Sport Monotube shock absorbers are available separately.

SPORT S/T SUSPENSION SYSTEMS


TeraFlex Sport S/T (Street & Trail) Suspension System lift kits feature preset Sport flexarms, front track bar, and rear track bar bracket to maintain proper suspension and steering geometry.

 

Available in 2.5” and 3” lift kits as well as a 1.5” leveling kit. 

 

Sport S/T Suspension Systems can be installed on Friday, wheeled on Saturday, and driven to church on Sunday!

 

  


1.5” LEVELING KIT – 33” TIRES

 

The TeraFlex 1.5” leveling Sport S/T1 Suspension System is perfect for the Jeeper who wants to add larger tires for increased ground clearance while gaining premium and responsive handling. Thanks to their minimal impact on factory suspension geometry, the components in this kit won’t compromise the Wrangler’s on- or off-road prowess.

The Sport S/T2 Suspension System was developed for the enthusiast looking for highway stability and trail performance in a no-compromise package. The 2.5” lift Sport S/T2 builds on the 1.5” leveling Sport S/T1 by adding preset front lower Sport flexarms, a heavy-duty adjustable front track bar, rear track bar bracket, exhaust spacers, and more. 


The additional ground clearance allows for fitment of larger diameter tires without compromising on- and off-road prowess. No alignment is needed thanks to the included preset front lower Sport flexarms and front track bar that optimize correct caster and pinion angles for 2.5” lift heights.

Although the Sport S/T3 clears the same size tires as the Sport S/T2, the additional components increase ground clearance without compromising on- and off-road prowess.

The dependable and maintenance-free 3” lift Alpine CT3 builds on the 3” lift Sport S/T3 by stepping up to a complete set of our bolt-on fully adjustable Alpine flexarms for full suspension adjustability both on- and off-road.

 

Our fully adjustable Alpine flexarms have been engineered to allow tuning of the pinion and caster angles, anti-squat geometry, and tire position as well as optimize front and rear roll centers. The heavy-duty adjustable front track bar and rear track bar bracket eliminate side-to-side movement.

 

All of this adds up to provide full suspension articulation and flex off-road along with superior ride quality and performance on road as well as minimal brake dive and squat under acceleration to better put the power down on any surface. This kit builds on the 3” lift Alpine CT3 by stepping up to fully-adjustable Alpine long flexarms and long flexarm brackets as well as a heavy-duty adjustable rear track bar for full Baja-style suspension articulation and flex off-road without compromising on-road suspension and steering geometry for controlled handling and a comfortable ride. 

 

Unlike our bolt-on short-arm kits, longarm kits require cutting of the factory mounting points and welding of the provided long arm brackets to mount the Alpine long flexarms. Requires an alignment after installation.

The granddaddy of all our kits, the TeraFlex Alpine CT6 Suspension System is engineered to excel whether driving on road or on the trail, through the desert, or rock crawling! 


The 6” lift Alpine CT6 builds on the 4” lift Alpine CT4 by adding a heavy-duty drag link flip kit and heavy-duty frame brace kit to correct steering geometry, eliminate front end shimmy, and reinforce the frame.


The gusseted and reinforced bracketry reduces noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) compared to other longarm kits. Requires an alignment after installation.

These kits do NOT include shocks. We recommend Falcon Series 3.4 Remote Air Adjust or Series 3.3 Fast Adjust piggyback shock absorbers for superior performance. 

 

 

 

 

3” LIFT KIT – 35” TIRES

 

The TeraFlex Outback Overland Suspension System begins where the Alpine CT3 Suspension System ends.


The TeraFlex 3” lift Outback Overland Suspension System includes all the components required for expedition-style overland travel such as the Canning Stock Route in Australia, the Silk Road in China, or your favorite trail in the U.S. 


This kit features custom load-enhanced heavy-duty rate coil springs, extensive gusseting and reinforced bracketry, heavy-duty suspension limit straps, and SpeedBump bump stops.


The upgraded springs maintain the lift height when loaded with heavy gear, while the additional gusseting and reinforced bracketry beef up areas prone to stress and fatigue experienced when traveling extended distances over rough terrain. These upgrades also reduce vibration, and harshness (NVH).

 

Heavy-duty limit straps maximize down travel safety to prevent any potential damage to drivetrain or suspension parts, while SpeedBump bump stops provide progressive compression during suspension movement.

Starting with the Alpine CT4, the 4” lift Prerunner Elite Long Flexarm Suspension System adds all the components needed for a purpose-built speed system including extensive gusseting and reinforced bracketry, heavy-duty suspension limit straps, coil spring retainers, and SpeedBump bump stops tuned for high-speed travel.

 
In addition to reducing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), the additional gusseting and reinforced bracketry beef up areas prone to stress and fatigue experienced during high-speed off-road excursions.


Heavy-duty limit straps maximize down travel safety to prevent any potential damage to drivetrain or suspension parts, while coil spring retainers prevent the springs from unseating during full suspension extension. The SpeedBump bump stops provide progressive compression during high-speed suspension movement.


All this adds up to provide full suspension articulation and flex as well as maximum wheel travel off-road including minimal brake dive and squat under acceleration to better put the power down on any surface. The Prerunner Elite Long Flexarm Suspension System is built to handle high-speed off-road excursions!

 

Although we recommend a 35” tire to reduce unnecessary rotational mass for quicker acceleration, the 4” lift height will accommodate up to a 37” tire.

Lengthen the wheelbase on your JK Wrangler or JKU Wrangler Unlimited with the TeraFlex 2" Rear Stretch Kit. The additional 2" stretch improves wheelbase characteristics as well as climbing under extreme conditions. Although it's been designed for aftermarket "high-line" fenders, this kit will still work with the factory fender flares.

Falcon Series 3 Piggyback and Series 2 Monotube shock absorbers (3.4 Remote Air Adjust, 3.3 Fast Adjust, 3.2 Adjustable, fixed-rate 3.1, fixed-rate 2.1 Sport, fixed-rate 2.1) and TeraFlex coil springs have been designed to work together to improve compression and rebound for optimal vehicle stability. Our leveling kits, lift kits, and suspension systems can be paired with any Falcon shock absorber. Falcon shocks will also improve the performance of any other aftermarket lift kit or suspension system.
