TeraFlex manufactures components for the Jeep Wrangler including premium suspension systems and performance shocks, heavy-duty axles and low-range gearing, body armor, and more. With our roots dating back to the 1950s beginning as MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), a distributor of Jeep parts and accessories, we have gained a vast knowledge of the various CJ/Wrangler platforms.

In the fall of 1996, TeraFlex began manufacturing parts in-house to fulfill the need for heavy-duty off-road suspension pieces and equipment for the then-new TJ Wrangler. Our experience and knowledge has allowed us to create the unique and innovative parts and accessories that fill out our product line today ensuring TeraFlex’s dominant hold on the Jeep market.

Not only was TeraFlex the first manufacturer to engineer a suspension system for the TJ Wrangler’s all-new coil spring suspension, but we are the only aftermarket company to offer a solution for the venerable 231 transfer case’s low-range gearing. Then in 2001, TeraFlex stunned the entire off-road industry with the TJ’s CRD60 – an off-road specific high-pinion differential based around the Dana 60 axle platform. The CRD60 took innovation to a new level, reinforcing our position in the industry.

TeraFlex continues its stronghold on the Jeep market offering the most comprehensive lineup of performance components for the JK Wrangler and JKU Wrangler Unlimited compared to any other competitor to date. Mark Falkner
CEO
, Founder and Owner of TeraFlex

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Mark Falkner grew up in a family of 10 children. His father started the company MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts COmpany), which bought and sold military surplus specializing in Jeep and truck parts. Mark began working in the yard at just 9 years old. During his high school days, he worked at Jeep Joint repairing and restoring Jeeps in the evening. Throughout this time, Mark collected and sorted through old Jeep auction parts in the yard, traded with other shops across the country, and learned to assemble his own builds with his brother.

Along with making terrific memories, he also gained a significant amount of knowledge and experience through trial and error. In 1982, Mark left MEPCO to manage a Chevrolet service department. Five years later, he returned to purchase MEPCO from his father who then retired.

In 1996, the TJ Wrangler came out with a front and rear coil spring suspension, which opened an immediate demand for a lift kit that did not yet exist. Mark developed the world’s first TJ Wrangler lift kit creating the brand-new company TeraFlex in the process. The new company focused solely on development and manufacturing of suspensions components and other parts for the TJ Jeep Wrangler. He has grown TeraFlex into a leading manufacturer of Jeep suspension, axles, body armor and more. In 2016, Mark decided to take a leap by growing the company and created Falcon Performance Shocks to again improve the Wrangler owners experience with vehicle specific shocks. Mark has enjoyed the growth of TeraFlex and Falcon, especially the employees and skillsets they have brought to the company.

This skilled, humble, and hard working man has created a legacy of quality and success and continues to push it forward today by maintaining the big picture. Mark loves to use his resources in order to bless the lives of his family, employees, friends and neighbors. He is known for going the extra mile to enrich the lives of those around him. Mark most enjoys his faith, taking time to relax, spending time with his family, learning about and visiting new places, and anything that brings a good solid laugh. He and his wife Sid are empty nesters, with six married children and 22 grandchildren.

“My favorite thing about Jeeping is that it can be a wholesome family activity that exposes people to all the natural wonders and earth’s beauty. We live in an amazing region of the country; Jeeps help us explore without fear of getting stranded.”

Ben Falkner
President

Born and raised in Utah, Ben Falkner grew up with Jeeping in his blood just like his father and siblings. Some of Ben’s favorite memories include Jeeping all over the mountains outside of Manti, Utah and building Jeeps with his father, who had him working at his side.

Ben is the guy who answers questions from customer service, helps solve problems with getting products out the door, resolves any issues that come up from Quality Control, and does all he can to improve the Research and Development Program.

At 8 years old, Ben began working for his dad at MEPCO and by 14, he worked for CRW Automotive/4 Plus Manufacturing where he earned more money needed to fund his CJ-7 project. A year later, he quit to seek out more hours by working other jobs and visited MEPCO to work as often as possible. Ben began work at TeraFlex as soon as Mark would allow it and has been here ever since, aside from two years spent in voluntary service for his church.

Ben and his family also enjoy mountain biking, BMX racing, dirt biking, hiking, and camping. Ben currently lives in Sandy, Utah with his wife and five children.

”My favorite thing about Jeeping is spending time with family and friends. I have especially loved watching my wife develop into a confident driver and I look forward to my children learning how to drive and overcome obstacles. My second favorite thing is building them – even more than I love driving them. I love the challenge of coming up with an idea and making it. Even the ideas that don’t work out have been good learning experiences.”

Vinson Pratt
Vice President | Marketing & Sales

Vinny was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He works long hard hours to maintain organization and outstanding quality among TeraFlex’s marketing and promotional efforts. Vinny’s journey into the Jeep life began in 1990 with a trip to Blanding, UT to visit extended family. Uncle Ed owned an old CJ-7, and his walls displayed photos of him in Moab, defying gravity as he drove straight up some rock formations. Soon Vinny was riding shotgun in that CJ-7 – topless and doorless. It was love at first ride. Big dreams were born that would come to pass years later.

On February 1, 2000, Vinny began working part-time in TeraFlex’s production department to help pay for college. He bought his first Jeep that September – a rolled 1998 TJ Wrangler. He fixed her up, ran her everywhere, rolled her, and fixed her up again. Vinny continued giving her love for several years until finally upgrading to a 2009 JKU Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

Today, he rides around in a 2016 JKU and owns a 1948 CJ-2A of his own as a long-term garage project. Vinny enjoys road and mountain biking, running, and air-cooled Volkswagens. He lives in West Valley City, Utah with his wife, two daughters, and a tiny dog named Bob.

”I really enjoy the freedom that Jeeping gives me. I am able to find some of the most remote roads and trails and escape for hours. Over the years, my driving style has transitioned into that of a quiet and solitary explorer. The days of proving my ego and abilities have passed and have been replaced by the enjoyment of truly finding the road less traveled. The dependable TeraFlex components give me the peace of mind to know that I will make it out and back!”

Brady Ralph
Marketing Manager

Born and raised only a few miles south of TeraFlex’s current location, Brady and his passion for Jeeps grew in South Jordan, UT. Brady spends his days helping Jeepers on the phones and managing TeraFlex's international dealer network. As a kid, it was his brother’s XJ that sparked his first interest in the Jeep life. “He took me wheeling for the first time and that was it. I was hooked.” Brady immediately started saving and bought his 2007 JKU Rubicon that he still drives and “absolutely loves.” Brady has spent two years at Utah Valley University and almost has his AS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from SLCC, after which he’ll move on to the University of Utah to complete his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Aerospace Engineering. Brady also enjoys mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding and camping.

"Plain and simple: A day Jeeping on the trails surrounded by good friends… does it get any better than that? I don’t think so."

Mark Burrup
USA Accounts Manager

Also, from Salt Lake City, Utah, Mark has another friendly voice you may have spoken with on the phone to answer questions about your Jeep. Mark drives the famous “Fire Engine Jeep” 4-door JKU Wrangler Unlimited, which signifies his other part-time job as a firefighter/EMT.

Mark loved cars growing up, raced go-karts, and street raced. He started his automotive career at age 16 working at Discount Tire and one year later performed his first engine swap in a Toyota Supra.

At 18 he bought a 1985 GMC 1500, lifted it, added 32” mud terrains, and started exploring the off-road world. He believed his truck was unstoppable until he split the transfer-case in two.

Enter Mark’s first Jeep. Approximately three XJs and five MJs later he purchased his first TJ Wrangler. He built it up, rode it hard, and sold it like the rest. Today, he’s riding his 2015 JKU. Mark couldn’t be happier working at TeraFlex for more than half a decade surrounded by Jeeps and fellow off-roaders alike.

Mark also enjoys dirt biking, camping, photography, hiking, and most any outdoor activity. He enjoys working on cars as well as building and fixing things.

“I enjoy the places Jeeping can take me on the top of the mountains, and the quality time spent with friends and family as we ride along the dusty trails. I also enjoy the adrenaline rush that off-roading and rock crawling can provide.”

Adam Spendlove
Research & Development/ Prototype & Testing Technician

Raised in St. George, Utah, Adam Spendlove worked several jobs in the automotive world developing an interest in off-road vehicles. That passion combined with attending the School of Automotive Technology at WyoTech makes it no surprise that Adam found a career at TeraFlex in 2011. Today, the company fleet is his baby – Adam makes sure the Jeeps are built, maintained, and tested.

Adam first entered the off-road life in 2001 when he bought his first 4x4: a Chevy truck. He eventually grew tired of the truck’s limitations and purchased a 1999 Jeep Cherokee in 2008 with his brother. They slowly built it up until it handled quite well on- and off-road, but it had become more expensive than it was worth. In 2013, Adam began driving the “Green Gecko” 2-door JK Wrangler.

Other activities Adam enjoys include downhill mountain biking, dirt biking, camping, and going to the lake.

”I love seeing new places that are hard to get to and seen by few. Jeeps are a fun way to get down the road less traveled. As a child, my dad and grandfather helped me see how much beauty there is in the world that few people take the opportunity to appreciate. Unfortunately, in those days it involved a lot more hiking than I prefer. Having a Jeep gives me more excuse to go camping and get outdoors than I would take the time for otherwise.”
