Slotting below the Jeep Compass (and the now-discontinued Jeep Patriot), the Jeep Renegade (BU) arrived for the 2015 model year as the smallest member of the Jeep family. Several Easter eggs are hidden throughout the Renegade including Jeep logos and heritage clues.
The all-new TeraFlex BU Renegade | MP Compass: 1.5” Performance Spacer Lift Kit gives the smallest Jeep models a 1.5” ride height boost allowing owners to add larger 225/65R17 tires (approximately 28.5” diameter) for better backcountry exploration without compromising highway ride or handling.
Unlike other kits, the offset IFS (independent front suspension) strut spacers in our Renegade/Compass Performance Spacer Lift Kit account for the 7-degree mounting angle of the front MacPherson struts to ensure proper camber and caster angles.
Around the back, the rear strut spacers and angled rear lower control arm spacers account for the 14-degree mounting angle of the rear Chapman struts to correct the rear camber. This attention to detail ensures suspension alignment falls into factory tolerances including correct wheel offset.
All our spacers are constructed from 6061-T6 billet aluminum to resist corrosion, while the Eco-Guard mounting hardware passes the 1,000-hour salt spray corrosion test.
This 1.5” Performance Spacer Lift Kit includes 1.5” lift offset strut spacers (front), 1.5” lift strut spacers (rear), 1” lift angled control arm spacers (rear lower), subframe spacers (rear), sway bar links (front), driveshaft spacers, brake line spacers, exhaust spacers, charcoal canister brackets, all necessary hardware, and more.
The diminutive Jeep is offered with two engines and two transmission options. The base engine is a 1.4-liter turbo MultiAir I-4 rated 160 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, while an available 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir II I-4 is rated 180-hp and 175 lb-ft. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic.
Front-drive is standard, while two all-wheel-drive systems are offered. Jeep Active Drive, which is available on most models, features a fully disconnecting 4x4 mode with automatic 4x4 engagement. The Trailhawk model is offered exclusively with Jeep Active Drive Low with a 20:1 crawl ratio. Jeep Active Drive Low features a full-time 4x4 mode with an on-demand clutch.
Up front, the BU Renegade and MP Compass feature a MacPherson strut suspension with coil springs, lower control arms, and a sway bar. Around the back, the rear suspension uses a Chapman strut, steel links, lower control arms, and sway bar. Stock front-drive models have 6.7 inches of ground clearance. Most stock 4x4 models feature 7.9 inches of ground clearance, while the Traihawk has 8.7 inches of ground clearance.
