The Hole in the Rock trail is the kind of off-roading experience that has it all. If you like to camp and overland, rock crawl, sightsee, or drive historic trails, this is a destination to add to your bucket list.

There is an option to travel either section of the trail; one from Escalante to the Hole in the Rock, while the other crosses the Eastern side of the trail from Halls Crossing on Lake Powell to a view across the lake to the Hole in the Rock.

The trail was established in the winter of 1879 and today’s Jeep trail stays amazingly true to its path. Learn about its creation and what Hole in the Rock, Utah, has to offer.
