Which TeraFlex lift kit is best for my Jeep? Why do you offer so many lift kits?

We get these types of questions all the time here at TeraFlex. And the simple answer is:

Well, it depends.

It depends on what you want from your TJ Wrangler or LJ Wrangler Unlimited.

Do you use your Jeep as a commuter or family car? Is it a hardcore weekend warrior? Or is it a dual-purpose rig used for daily driving as well as escaping city life and paved streets? The tire diameter you want to run also dictates what size lift you will need. Cost is also a factor.

All these questions must be taken into consideration when choosing a lift kit.

Bigger isn’t always better. But sometimes bigger is better. And that’s why we offer a variety of suspension systems from mild to wild — and several in between — so our customers can find the configuration for their rig that’s best suited to their needs.

Spacer Lift Kits

TeraFlex builds modest 1” Body Lift Kits and 2” Performance Spacer Lift Kits for those wanting to run larger tires on their daily drivers that see weekend off-road excursions.

1” Body Lift Kits

For maximum affordability, our 1” Body Lift Kits add just enough height to clear larger tires as well as high-clearance BellyUp Skid Plates without altering the vehicle’s center of gravity. Combine the 1” Body Lift Kit with one of our Performance Spacer, Coil Spring, or Suspension System lift kits for additional clearance.

The 1” Body Lift Kit is offered in Aluminum or UHMW (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight) Polyethylene.

Includes: (11) 1” lift body spacers, Shift Linkage Plate Kit, radiator brackets, all necessary hardware.

2” Performance Spacer Lift Kit — 31” Tires

The TeraFlex 2” Performance Spacer Lift Kit is ideal for mild off-road trails with its ability to fit up to 31” tires. The increased ground clearance improves approach, break-over, and departure angles. Our Performance Spacer Lift Kit offers many of the same benefits as a comparable spring lift kit without altering the factory spring rate or ride. Our 2” Performance Spacer Lift Kit offers the best bang-for-the-buck for lifting your TJ Wrangler or LJ Wrangler Unlimited!

Coil Spring Lift Kits

For those requiring more performance than our Performance Spacer Lift Kits, we offer budget-friendly basic Coil Spring Lift Kits in 2”, 3”, and 4” heights. Ideal for mild, serious, or extreme trails requiring both increased ground clearance and suspension travel. Coil spring lift kits also include a slightly higher lift in the front to level out the factory rake.

Although coil spring lifts cost more than spacer lifts, the longer coil springs increase suspension travel and provide additional spring rates, which prevents sagging when adding heavy aftermarket equipment such as beefier bumpers, winches, a larger spare tire, and more.

 

2” Coil Spring Lift Kit — 31” Tires

Our 2” Coil Spring Lift Kit was designed to perform on the highway as well as mild off-road trails. TeraFlex engineers were able to add clearance while maintaining the stock suspension geometry, roll center, and load tuning while riding on 31” tires.

Includes: 2” lift coil springs, Track Bar Bracket (rear lower), bump stop extensions (front, rear), all necessary hardware.

Coil Spring Base Lift Kits

Coil Spring Base Lift Kits include just the basic lift components only and don’t have the drivability of a full suspension system. Requires adjustable control arms and/or adjustable front track bar to correct suspension geometry.

3” Coil Spring Base Lift Kit — 33” Tires

The additional ground clearance over a 2” lift clears up to 33” tires. The increased suspension travel will allow you to tackle more serious trails with less worry about getting hung up on taller obstacles.

LCG Long Arm Suspension Systems

TeraFlex LCG (Low Center-of-Gravity) Long Arm Suspension Systems are engineered for hardcore Jeepers who don’t want to give up on-road comfort and control in their TJ Wrangler/Unlimited. These complete systems include all necessary components including LCG Long Arm Brackets.

Our adjustable short and long Control Arms balance front caster angle and pinion angles as well as optimize rear pinion angles, anti-squat geometry, and tire position. On 3–5” lifts, LCG Long Arm Brackets and/or 4-Link Rear Axle Truss reposition the frame-end control arm mounting points to relax suspension link angles. This reduces bushing stress during extreme droop as well as shock load transferred through the LCG Long Arms.

The Front [High Steer] HD Adjustable Track Bar, Drop Pitman Arm (5” lift), and Rear Upper Pro LCG Triangulated 4-Link Control Arms (Pro LCG) or Rear Lower Track Bar Bracket (Enduro LCG) improve steering response, center the axles to optimize vehicle roll center, and reduce body roll to for unsurpassed handling.

This results in improved suspension geometry and relaxed control arm angles for superior ride quality and performance regardless of the terrain. These systems restore front and rear roll axis angles to minimize brake dive and acceleration squat. TeraFlex suspension systems provide reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH).

Enduro LCG Long Arm Suspension System

TeraFlex Enduro LCG Long Arm Suspension Systems are designed for the off-road enthusiast who wants to increase both trail and on-road performance with moderate modifications to the vehicle frame.

The Enduro LCG uses the same adjustable Lower LCG Long Arms & Brackets as the Pro LCG, while our adjustable Rear Upper Short Control Arms bolt to the factory upper control arm mounting points. High Steer Systems

TeraFlex TJ: Dana 30/44 High Steer Systems address many of the front-end steering issues associated with lifted TJ Wrangler or LJ Wrangler Unlimited models. This system beefs up the steering components of the Dana 30 or Rubicon Dana 44 front axle, helps maximize ground clearance, and corrects steering geometry for superior highway drivability.

We offer two versions of the High Steer System: one for our 4–5” Pro LCG Long Arm Suspension Systems and one for other 4” or higher lift kits. Highly recommended for TJ Wrangler or LJ Wrangler Unlimited models with 4” or more lift. NOT an all-inclusive kit — may require additional modifications.

Series 3.0 Piggyback Shocks | Nexus EF Steering Stabilizers

Although our lift kits and suspensions systems are available with or without TeraFlex 9550 VSS (Vehicle Specific Shocks) Twin-Tube Shocks, we now offer Falcon Series 3.0 Piggyback Shocks for TJ and LJ models with 3–4" lifts.

Falcon shock absorbers and TeraFlex lift coil springs have been engineered together to improve both compression and rebound for optimal vehicle stability. Falcon shocks will also improve the performance of any other aftermarket lift kit or suspension system.
